Binding Technique Class
April 11th Saturday from 9:30-12:30
In this class we will teach you the basics of doing square binding. We will go over to how to attach it to the back, joining you binding, how to frame to corner, and stitch it down to the top. You will need to provide a small project that has already been quilted. Nothing bigger than a small throw size quilt for the sake of time. A baby quilt, table runner, or wall-hanging would be perfect projects to finish. The class cost is $20.00
Other supplies:
Fabric for binding (we will be cutting the binding either at 2.5 inches or 2.25 inches)
Thread to match fabric and a matching bobbin
1/4-inch piecing foot
Walking foot is recommended but not required ( straight stitch foot if not using a walking foot.)
Rotary cutter
Pins and /or fabric clips
We will be demoing our favorite binding ruler to help with joining it’s called bound to fit
