Build Your Own Bag 2 Day Event January 23-24th

We would love to have you come stitch with us for a fun filled weekend. We will be building our own bags using in the hoop embroidery, and a bit of basic sewing. This is a great learning experience for someone new to embroidery, and a great deal of fun for any sewist.  

Class with be held in person at Beckie's Sewing Center on January 23rd & 24th. Designs will be provided day of class. You will want to bring a flash drive for the designs to be loaded onto. Cost is $39.00 

Gather your supplies…

Main Fabric: 1-3/4 yards                                                                                                     

Background: 3/4 of a yard                                                                                                 

Main Flower Fabric: Fat Quarter

Center Flower Fabric: Fat Quarter

Low or Medium Loft Batting

Erasable Marking Pen or Pencil

Fusible Interfacing for Strap

Mesh Cutaway Stabilizer

Thread: Embroidery thread Colors to match all fabrics used, embroidery bobbin, Basic sewing thread and matching empty bobbin. 

Embroidery Needles 

Rotary cutter, cutting mat, and ruler 

Iron, pressing mat 

Scissors 

Embroidery Tape

1/4 & Stright stitch sewing foot

Embroidery Machine with your largest hoop. Finished size of the bag will vary on hoop size used. If your embroidery machine is not a combo, we will have a few sewing machines set up for finishing the bag.
