Binding Technique Class (February 8th)

If you struggle with making or attaching binding this 3 hour Technique will help guide you on the path to binding sucess.
During this class will will cut and assemble 2 1/2 wide binding strips. We will then attach it to any square or rectunglar quilted project you have brought with you to finish. Please do not bring any project that is larger than a lap quilt (roughly 45"x60").
Skill that you will learn are cutting and assembling binding, how to join binding together on a project, ang how to mider corners.
Class will be on February 8th (Saturday) From 9:30-12:30
Supply List:
Enouh yardage to cut 2.5 inch wide strips to go around all 4 sides of the project. ( This will vary by project. Please feel free to call us with you dimentions and we will be happy to give you an idea of how much you will need.)
Rotarty cutter and mat
Iron and small pressing mat
Ruler to cut fabric strips
scissors
Pins ands or fabric clips
Sewing machine
1/4 foot ( Walking foot is suggested, but not required)
top stitch or stright stitch foot ( Walking foot is suggested, but not required)
Your own quilted project not larger than a lap quilt.
Thread to matching binding with a matching bobbin
To join the binding together we will be using the bound to fit ruler by westalee. (It is not a required item, but is suggested.)
