November 13th&14th (Friday & Saturday) From 9:30-4:30 Cost $39.00 Plus Supplies
There will also be a follow up/ finishing class on December 12th Saturday for anyone that needs help to finish the project. That class will cost $20.00.

About the project:
The Book Nerd Quilt is not only Fat Quarter friendly, but also Quarter Bundle friendly. So, you can showcase 20 of your favorite fabrics. The pattern features basic paper piecing along with traditional rotary cut techniques. Keep the quilt at the given size for a comfortable throw or easily enlarge this block-based quilt to a bed size quilt. Add in detail using embroidery, applique or paper piecing to truly customize any or all the books. The possibilities are endless. Finished Size: 54in x 66in
Class Breakdown:
Day 1: In the morning we will do all of the prep work. Including cutting the fabric and trimming the foundation paper. We will start paper piecing in the afternoon.
Day 2: We will focus on more paper piecing and completing blocks.
Supplies:
· 1 Fat quarter bundle or 20 fat quarters.
· 3/8 of a yard of 3 different prints (used for pages, text prints recommended)
· 2 ¾ yards of background fabric
· ½ yard fabric for binding (binding will not be done in either class)
· 1 Package of Carol Doak’s Foundation Paper (Sheets must be printed at home before class)
· Flat head pins
· Fabric Glue Stick
· Small cutting mat (For trimming as we work)
· Rotary cutter (28mm or 45mm is recommended)
· Book Nerd Pattern
· 6x24 or 6 1/2x24 ruler and 6X12 RULER
· Add a quarter ruler in either a 6- or 12-inch length.
· Karen Kay Buckley Scissors or paper scissors
· Thread and matching bobbin
· Sewing Machine, with foot pedal if needed
· Stright stitch and ¼ inch piecing feet.
· Bring any basic sewing supplies you typically use, such as a seam ripper, thread trimmers, etc…
