If you are new to the world of bag making or a seasoned pro, this clam up bag is a fun, cute project, that can be completed in one evening.

We will be working with various sewing skills such as: template making, inserting a zipper, creating a side gusset, and working with bag making foam.

This pattern will provide you with 5 different sizes, but for the sake of time we will all be making the XL size. Which is 5.5H X 7.5W X 5D finished. It is the perfect size for a make-up, men’s shaving kit, or toiletries bag.

Supply List:

Main Fabric (outside body of the bag) – 1 Fat quarter

Lining Fabric – 1 Fat quarter

Optional Coordinating fabric (can use the lining fabric instead) -1 Fat eighth

A Piece of By Annies Soft and Stable 18”x14” (If you buy her pack that is 18x58 it will make all 5 bags)

30 inches By Annie double pull zipper in a color to match your fabrics

20 inches of freezer paper (to draw your template We will provide this day of)

Optional Iron on vinyl laminate ½ yard (this is if you would like to make the bag a wipeable surface on the inside)

Treads with matching bobbin to match fabrics and zipper.

Optional By Annie Stiletto (It is not required but does help control the bag movements while sewing)

Sewing machine with foot pedal /or machine with start stop button.

Straight stitch foot

¼ foot

Fabric making pen (water or heat removable)

Cutting Mat, rotary cutter, and ruler to cut fabrics

Seam ripper, and trimming scissors
